A traditional Chinese culture activity took place at the Jordanian Embassy in China on December 4,buy pebble stones for garden to promote fine traditional Chinese art and cement cultural exchanges.
The event's 14 attendees were the spouses and relatives of ambassadors to China. They participated in the cloisonne course, which is a traditional Chinese art, learning and understanding its artistic value and techniques.
Cloisonne, also known as the Jingtailan, originated in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), a unique ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects with colored material held in place or separated by metal strips or wire, normally made of gold. In 2006, the Jingtailan production technique was included in the first national-level list of intangible cultural heritage.
During the event, staffers from the Yin Di Museum assisted participants to complete cloisonne production while giving a detailed explanation of the step by step production process to them.
The Yin Di Museum also held a series of other activities such as calligraphy, woodblock printing, Chinese traditional brush painting and landscapes, and other art forms.
